Bio
My Story
I am a professional bridging both the world of medical and technology. I am a medical doctor graduated from Medical College Kolkata, the first institution for medern medicine in Asia continent. I am practicing pediatrics and newborn care for more than 10 years. Alongside of practicing medicine, my passion has continuously driven me to expand my knowledge in the field of medical technology. I got my doctorate (PhD) from the School of Medical Science and Technology, IIT Kharagpur, an eminent institution for teaching engineering and technology in the whole world. With a strong background and diverse skill set, I’m confident in the creative ideas and successful solutions in the field of medical technology. Served as medical consultant for a project on development of electronic health record (EHR) software for neonatal care. The project (eNPCS) was done in collaboration of Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur, IPGMER & SSKM Hospital Kolkata, and West Bengal Electronics Industry Development Corporation Limited (WEBEL). I was responsible for conceptualization, workflow design, testing and evaluation, user satisfaction of the EHR software 'NavajataK'.

Attached as resident physician (housestaff) in the department of neonatology, IPGMER & SSKM Hospital, Kolkata. The department run a Level 3 neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) equipped with mechanical ventilation and other NICU services. I was trained in neonatal intensive medical care with various intensive care procedures.

Doctorate from the School of Medical Science and Technology, Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur. Thesis titled 'Improving patient safety in low resource neonatal care units'. Research involved five different projects on hand hygiene, colour batching of hospital linens, patient handover, android app based medical calculator, and automated apnea detection device. The thesis work was carried out at multiple neonatal care units of public sector hospitals in West Bengal, India.
Received MBBS, the professional degree for practicing modern medicine in India.
Higher Secondary from Buedwan CMS High School. Subjects learned: Bengali, English, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology. Scored First Division with Star Mark, and also secured Rank in Joint Entrance Medical Examination.
